My wife's fruit salad, her cooking... her energetic effort to make the holidays memorable for us in spite of her condition then... her laughter everytime our kids play during the parlor games... her wish to have a simple celebration with our kids....
But most of all, Christmas reminds me that...
she's no longer with us...
Christmas won't be the same anymore...

I am so sorry for your loss. Christmas is one of the hardest times of the year. I have not been in the mood this year mainly because My Father is not here any longer.
Unfortunately the feeling of loss lasts far longer than any of us would wish. I wish I could say something intelligent and philosophical to ease your pain, but there really is nothing that can ease that pain, except time.
