I have a hole in my socks....

I have a hole in my socks
and nobody knows
I am dressed so dandy
so nobody cares
I am cool and decent
nobody knows what’s down there
isn’t it swell?
I have a hole in my socks
and nobody cares

I wear a smile on my face
and it’s all that everybody see
they don’t have a hint
what I really feel inside me
they don’t really give a damn
of what they don’t see
and they don’t need to know
that inside I am filled with pain

I wear a hole in my socks
with a smile on my face
nobody needs to know
nobody seems to care

When there's no man in the house

"I don't believe this!" Amanda said, "What is it Mom?" her daughter Cindy asked.

"The faucet. A day after your father went away on a three-week out-of-town assignment, it has to be busted. Now, what do we do? I can't fix this?!" She exclaimed.

"Mom, we're in Atlanta right?" Cindy asked, "Yes, and does that connect to my problem?"

Cindy replied, "Then why don't you call the D.E.W. Plumbing!", Amanda looked at her daughter puzzled, "D.E. what?!"

"D.E.W. Plumbing mom! They're a quick service Atlanta Plumber, they will have that busted faucet fixed in no time! And they won't charge a fortune!"

"Here Mom," Cindy continued as she hands the phone to Amanda, "call them at 678-804-7425, tell them what's the problem is, and you can have your estimated cost over the phone. No surprise charges Mom! And I also heard they're the best plumbing service company here in Atlanta."

Amanda still looking puzzled as she listens to her daughter, "In these days Mom, especially since Dad is not here, we can't just let anybody in our house. It's dangerous! At least with D.E.W., we're assured that we are safe cause they have a professional reputation to protect... and please Mom, don't ever attempt to fix that faucet yourself."

Finally, Amanda was able to talk, "How old are you again?" she asked Cindy, "eleven Mom!" was the quick reply. "And how did you know all of these?" Amanda follows.

"Internet Mom! Internet."

Candlelight

Flickering... faint...
Enough to light
A room of darkness

Modest heat
To fight the numbing cold

How long?

A gentle blow
Even just a breathe
Threatening its very existence

It flickers... as if dancing...
Fighting... as it fades...

Going... fading...

Darkness.

Something's wrong....

I don't know why I'm posting this, or if it's even worth a blog post.

I went to an attorney this morning.

No, I didn't file any case against anybody. I just went there to pick-up some documents I had notarized.

While waiting for the lawyer, I was talking with the secretary. Nothing interesting really, except that she said today is Friday.

Friday?! Is that too big a deal to cause a post to be written?

In fact it is.

I woke up this morning all the while thinking today is Thursday... and I slept last night believing yesterday was Wednesday.

When I was able to confirmed that today is Friday, I was indeed shocked. Why?

Because I have my plans for the week scheduled. I know what to do today, and where I will go tomorrow.

But since I lack one day, I can't do things as I have planned.

Somehow, I am lost. I was wondering ---- where did that one day go?

Did I sleep for 24 hours straight?

Or I didn't sleep at all? That's why I didn't notice that day changing.

Something's wrong... and it's a big deal for me.

It's bad enough that I don't get comments

I really don't get that much of a comment on any of my blog post in any of my blogs. It's a rare occurrence for me, I don't even get any on most of my post... I can live with that.

Not that I don't want it... I'm just used to it. Seems like real world for me.

But while it's bad enough that I don't get comments, it's even worse that I get a comment who calls me an 'idiotic blogger'

No, I won't link it nor will I point you to it. It's in one of my blogs, and I approved the comment. It contains, after all, useful information. I didn't edit it either. I let it go as it is.

And another comment which painted scenarios just to justify his insinuation that I am a selfish and insensible blogger -- and that one coming from someone who openly claims he respects me.

Thanks heavens! Imagine what'll I get without that respect!

I'll be damned. Blogging is my therapy and the only companion that I have. It keeps me sane (or insane, as the case may be), as it serve as an outlet for me.

Then people like these, who don't even know the kind of person I am, dares to call me names. Do I owe them anything?!

I blog responsibly. I express my opinion, and I state some facts, and when I do, I disclosed my sources.

But some overly-intelligent individuals, who are really so into themselves, take liberty into throwing 'darts' on people they pass along the way.

Yes of course, I accept disagreements. I am not an 'absolute' source and my opinions are not always the best... but it doesn't give anybody even an inch of liberty to call me names.

Damned! I'm running out words....

Seemingly An Ordinary Night

Seemingly, an ordinary night
He sits alone, thoughts occupy his mind
What predicament!
Holding all those things inside

A spirit, which is not of this world
Suddenly envelopes his very being
Provoking
"You don't have to suffer like this"

Overpowered... bewildered... he stands
Taking steps... even while in trance
Solution
It is now in his hands

Heart beats fast, as he holds in tight grip
A piece of metal... his ticket for his escape
Adrenaline
His whole body now sensing everything

He paused... as he gazed at an angel asleep
Silently proceeding... to the chair where the spirit awaits
"It's now or never"
The spirit keeps on taunting

Slowly lifting, the hand that holds the steel
One last breath... not a second is wasted
Bang!
It's all over... he worries no more

Seemingly, it's an ordinary night
Yet amidst the darkness, you'll hear an angel cry
Questions
Is this how it was supposed to be?

Picking up the pieces

Okay, I guess it's about the time. It came to the point of realization... that I'm wasting my time here.

I know I got to do something... I got to make things happen.

I need to find a real job, maybe blogging is fun, but it doesn't really bring food on the table.

Maybe it's not for me, maybe I'm not cut to be blogger... it's like, some guys have it, some guys don't.

So I guess, maybe this is it for me... time to pick up the pieces... no use in wallowing in self-pity here... it's time to move on.

I got to go... maybe I'll stop blogging...

But before I do... allow me to say one last thing...

Happy April Fool's Day!
